not really. When they said "hybrid" It mean can read DVD & CD but can only burn CD-R & CD-RW. Unleast you have buy a DVD burner.......

Wrong you can burn DVDs its a CD/DVD-R combo Im ugessing meaning you can burn DVDs

so I guess I should wait for a third opinion hmmm??

I have a DVD/CD-R Combo in my computer and it allows me to burn DVDs

but even so, I would still need a dvd burning program

it'd be better if you would clarify what type of combo it is.

dvd/cd-r combo is still an ambiguous terminology. do you know if it's dvd-rom/cdrw combo? or is it really a dvd-rw/cd-rw combo.

if it's the former then no, you cannot burn dvd's. if it's a dvd-rw/cd-rw combo, yes it can. why they even bother saying that is beyond me since all consumer dvd players themselves are able to burn cd's, so why bother putting in the extra acronym.

my laptop has a cdrw/dvd module on it, and it can't burn dvd's. oh but it clarifies that it doesn't burn dvd's right? CD-RW/DVD MODULE. what about dvd/cd-rw? oh, the play on the arrangements of words...

look, just get nero, click on recorder -> click on choose recorder and there it will clarify what you can burn. done and done.

okay that makes sense, then probably my drive is not capable of burning dvds then
