Well I picked up the dvd today only because I couldnt wait for the Special Edition. If you are content with just buying the movie (because thats all it really is) than you should pick up the dvd for a low price of just $16.99 at Best Buy, but if you want all the special features and what not you wont find them here. Whatever Rodriguez and Miller are going to do with it, they havent done yet.
I guess this post is just a fair warning that if you are expecting extras with the movie, dont buy it haha, and just another chance to talk about the movie and its upcoming sequel again for those who are huge fans.
As the long time Sin City fiend, i'm still not buying this dvd. I don't have the money to throw down the toilet if i know that there's a better edition on the horizon. I just can't do it. Besides, teasing myself by waiting longer to see it again for the 3rd time will just make it that much sweeter.
Very true, I wouldn't want to waste my money on a weak edition like that.

The ONLY reason I bought it was because I've seen so much on this movie so far that I really dont care that much about what they can put on it for the special features. I really just wanted the movie. So I'm satisfied with my purchase, but I can understand you guy's side too because I've felt that way before about certain dvd sets.
I don't give a shit about speical features on DVDs. I only watch the movie most of the time anyways.
I got Sin City two weeks ago through other...methods and I'm happy with it.
