"Snow Games"

Something I never thought about,
You and me and a land of snow.
Your out there,
Hoodie and all.
I’m about to freeze my ass off,
Being the southern boy,
And with the extremely shaky body.
I am walking with you in the snow,
Hand in hand,
And I look at the neighborhood.
Never have I seen such a beautiful sight.
I start to turn to you,
But I’m plastered by a snowball,
Right in the back of the head.
You laughing at me,
And I go to pick up a snowball.
“I‘m gonna get you!”
You try to run,
But I pelt you,
Right in the ass with a snowball.
“Direct Hit!!! HAHA!!!”
You and I both grab many hand-full,
of the white powder,
And throw, and throw, and throw.
You duck behind my car,
And ambush me as I round the hood.
You run away,
And I tackle you and throw you in the snow.
“Got ya‘!!”
Your pinned and I let you roll over,
When you give me a kiss.
I lean away for a bit,
Still in awe that you kissed me…
Then I look away…
I get a face full of snow for my trouble.
Your laughing at me again.
God, how I’d love days like this……
