hey everyone, long time old AO member. I've been out of anime for quite awhile now, seen a few here and there and read more but want to know whats some of the good ones right now. Any suggestions about what I'd be interested in. I'm looking into getting Full Metal Alchemist right now after I read some of the manga.
Ones that I liked : Full Metal Panic, Inu Yasha, Kenshin OVA, GTO, GitS:SAC (too much trouble to try and download)...can't even remember anything else, lol
seen. only ok though : Naruto, Hellsing, Read or Die
Not really into the kiddy ones (Naruto) and ones that come off lame with the "oh he's so powerful, i need to use a stronger technique" and "thats so clever lets do a play by play of the plan he came up with", ala Naruto style (I really did like that manga though).
Is it just me or do the days of watching some unforgettable animes like Ranma 1/2, Fushigi Yuugi, Rurouni Kenshin and the like are done. Maybe it's just the nostalgic memories, lol.

Hmm, I think you should give Haibane Renmei a shot. Also, Texhnolyze might be a good choice. Both great animes, at least in my opinion.

Due to budget cutbacks, the light at the end of the tunnel has been turned off.
i personally think you should try Love Hina. i thought it was good and if u like the comedy/romace type manga boys be was ok. i saw GTO the movie but i didn't read the manga, is it good?
Jin-Roh is also very good. One of the best anime movies I've ever seen.

i've seen love hina, NGE and all that. I mean like pretty recently. 2 years old or so. Lain was too slow for me to hold my interest, wasn't really my kind of thing
well if you liked Kenshin then you'll prolly like Samurai Deeper Kyo its an awesome anime and the manga is good as well
