I've been using Rebirth from Propellerhead for sometime now, and I was wondering what kind of equipment I could get to help with editing. I also would like to know if there any programs out there to make drumlooping easier. If any of you are into synthing also, I am interested in what kind of hardware/equipment you are using. sweet.

For just audio editing, a Canadian program called GoldWave is cheap and does an awesome job of cleaning analog recordings. For loop-based editing & timing, I hate to say it, but Sony/Sonic Foundry do a real good job (Sonic Forge is their editer; it saves timing/beat info). I've only done loop-based in ACID (also Sony), which has a "Beatmapper" function that works pretty well. Sometimes actually matches the ReBirth beat (i.e. 180bpm really equals 180!).
