Yeah, DDR to any other music changes things a LOT. It's amazing how much more difficult the game gets from that even though you can still see the arrows n what not.

It's due largely in part to the fact that you are moving along to arrows that are supposed to be matching the beat of the song. If you're listening to a different song, there's a good chance that all your coordination will go to hell.

Oh, I used to do this all the time, even with RPGs (after I've played through it once already to hear the game music), though I can't say that anything I listend to was really fitting with the game I played...I just did it because it was a good way to kill 2 birds with 1 stone-playing video games and listening to my favorite music...though I will say that Linkin Park to FF9 had it's fitting moments.

I do agree with RPGs... Unless you've played them already, as ffgirl23 pointed out. After I beat FFVII for the millionth time, I started listening to Vivaldi while fighting boss battles. How amusing.

Another great theme is playing Quake III while listening to some NIN. It warms me right up.

Just last night I was playing Battlefront 2 while listenin' to Slayer. Nothing better than slicing droids with Windu while listening to some nice angry music.
