Thread: Soylent Green

Classic. A film that knocked me out with it's twist in such a severe way that I'll never forget....and the fact that i was about 9 when i first saw it probably scared me ever more so..

I remember when it was first showing in theaters... I was disapointed that the movie was no where close to the original novel it was based on (Make Room!, Make Room! by Harry Harrison). The Science Fiction novel had a much better story...

Actually I'm the person that tells you to open your eyes in the morning. Now I know why I've never received a "thank-you" card...


Anyway, Soylent Green was a fairly entertaining film, one of the better that Chuck Heston made in his Disaster/Sci-Fi phase of the 60's and 70's. Better than Soylent Green though is The Omega Man.

And after Omega Man check out The Towering Inferno. Off the meter on the unintentional comedy scale.

I'd rather watch PotA again than Omega Man, that's for sure...
