Though if u actually think of it...almost all the most widely known languages are deprived of latin root words..so u could say our english languagw was "more like gradually became..." as well...not so much as invented but more seemingly advanced and complicated. English is pretty much a mixture of words from latin roots and Shakespearean slang words to which he invented and all the other words invented along the way to our present day where there are more and more slang words that jus seem to have multiple meanings..no one really knows what the heck it means or if it has meaning at all..but people still say it..

People do this with other languages, too, not just Spanish+English.

The only example I could really give, however, is the Acadians of Eastern Canada who mix French and English speech. They were French-speaking people to begin with, until English people moved in and colonized on their land. It just developed.

If you're Spanish (or French, or any language), but in a primarily English-speaking community, you can't expect them to know ALL the English words to properly communicate in one language. It's an adaptive mechanism. They have to be able to communicate with an English-speaking person somehow, so they just do it in the best way they know how. Who's to say they don't incorporate "Spanglish" into their everyday lives to practice English? Or even because it's just become natural to them?

And to be honest, there are people (even on this forum, yes) who do it all the time by speaking English and then throwing in some random Japanese words like they know the language but only know those few words.

No, what's really annoying is people whose first language is english and they can't even type it correctly. I'd say about 90% of everyone who posts on this message board is illiterate judging by their typing skills. So don't go being all English supremests when you can't even grasp your own language yourselves. If someone wants to talk in lets say "Spanglish" who cares, learn some toleration not everyone is like you nazi's.

And BTW, English is a mixture of like 20 different languages. blasphemy isn't it.
