Finally an area in manga I know something about.
Going from the list you gave of manga you think are great I'd try.
'Ayashi no Ceres' 'Imadoki' and 'Alice 19th'
(All manga are from the same mangaka who did Fushigi Yuugi 'Yuu Watase' both avaliable in English)
Similar to Fruits Basket: Not entirely sure, since I haven't read Fruits Basket... but there's, 'Kare Kano' 'Mars' 'Hana Kimi' 'Boys over Flowers' and 'Full Moon wo Sagashite'
As for the DNAngel, there's 'Candidate for Goddess', from the same mangaka Yukiru Sugisaki
Other good Shoujo manga:
'Angel Sanctaury' and 'Count Cain' (Kaori Yuki) 'RG Veda' and 'Card Captor Sakura' (Clamp) 'Please Save my Earth'
Also if you're interested in light to heavy shounen-ai in some form the other, some great manga in that department are:
'Tokyo Babylon', 'X', 'Lawful Drug' (Clamp)
'Yami no Matsuei' (Yoko Matsushita), 'Loveless' (Yun Kouga), 'Gravitation' (Maki Murakami), 'FAKE' (Sanami Matoh)
Everything I've mentioned, expect for Loveless, Full Moon wo Sagashite and Count Cain, are available in English from either Tokyo Pop or VIZ.

Azumanga Diaoh is hilarious, its more in the style of an American comic strip but some of it is so funny. I'd reccomend that.
Other one's I've liked:
Paradise Kiss, Mars, His and Her Circumstances... yes I like girly love mangas.
