Getting back to American Football, can somebody here explain how this league/championship/team business works in a simple way?
The way things work over here in Europe (like in Rugby) is that the league is made up of different teams within the host nation who compete for the reputation of being the best team in land. Then every couple of years there is a major tournament where a single national team (a nations best players come together to represent their country) compete against teams from other nations (I think Rugby has the... Six Nations Campionship going on at the moment?) to find out who has the best team in world (England won the last Rubgy World Cup ^^ ).
But in the US, everything is different. Even the 'world series' (baseball... right?) only has teams from the US... only there are different leagues and stuff, and at the end of the leagues, the best teams in the leagues go at each other... and... err... What was I talking about? ^^;;
