A Thousand Miles

All right, this is a poem I wrote a year ago. I hope everyone likes it!

What is this thing called life
Sometimes I feel so happy and then it cuts me like a knife
But for some reason I just keep going on

It seems like I've walked a thousand miles and I still have a long way to go
There have been times in my life
When I held my head down low
Then I finally found the person in me
Now I hold my head up high
And I still keep going on

Sometimes I look at myself in the mirror
And think of all the things I could have done
Then I look ahead on this road called life
And then I see
I need to keep on going on whats in front of me

I look at the sadness and all the anger in the world
Wondering if it will ever end and get captured in my own misery
Then I look up and look around
See what all I have
Then I realize that it's not that bad
And that a brighter day will come

I actually wrote this as a song but songs can be considered poems right? This poem represents that no matter how bad life may seem or miserable it may make you feel there will always be a brighter day. You just have to look for it.:2thumbs:

Great work!!! I truly loved your poem or song, whatever it may be called. It has a good meaning regarding life in general, so I like it because I am always curious of life, too. Yes, brighter and auroral days are always up ahead, and as The Divine God keeps shining of us with the glorifying radiance, all days are bright! ^^
