    Re: Too popular???

I must admit, there have been some shows that I have shied away from because it was popular. One of these being Ah! My Goddess. I just recently finished it and it is one of my favorites. I guess however popular it is I will eventually try an anime out, but having an anime that is "all to yourself" is also a really good feeling. Im not sure how many of you have seen shows like Saikano or Last Exile but both are supurb shows, much better than most of these popular shows that most people talk about. Suzuka is another one that comes to mind.

As for my sig, I think Naruto is cool, but I find it lacking in the story line department too much fot it to be called a great anime.

I like you. Last Exile is my fav...

So, I think that all the "fadders" are good in a way. They might not be in into anime their whole lives like most of us. (hope to be). But they are expanding the want for the anime to come into other countries. 10 years ago, I don't think that there was as much fan base or "the fad" to get in the anime series in the U.S.

After the current trend, they just bring it into america even faster, so even if they aern't hard core anime fans, (like me....-my name-) I'll gladly use them to bring me the anime that I love. "If you can't use them, whats their use?"

I don't know why Last Exile is not talked about more often. I thought it was incredible, but Im not sure if I would want it to have a bunch of fan girls swooning over Alex, as Im sure they would.

I just can't help but wonder that if in a few years is anime gonna be retro? Being a popular medium in the late 90's and early 20th century
