I hope someone can help me here. I am a huge fan of Trigun the anime, and am interested in getting the manga, but I need to know if the manga covers just the events of the anime or does it go further? The Dark Horse website doesn't give much info, and from the volumes I've seen so far, it seems to be pretty much just the events of the anime. I'm not looking for slight differences in events/characters (cause I know the manga is always different from the anime), I need to know if there is signifigant story continuation. No spoilers, please Hope someone can help!

Trigun Maximum picks up at the same place as Episode 18 and ends roughly at the same spot as the anime with a few minor changes.

The plain Trigun manga documents everything from Episode 1 up to 17.

How is that for no spoilers? Hah!
