i think it would be fascinating even though i haven't played the rpg much i am only level twelve but hey i like t it is fun

I have played it tons since I was able to enter it 2 weeks ago, I am Level 71. XD Wonder what could be done to make me vs a new player starting from scratch a fair match. XP

oh it doesn't matter if i win i just think the idea of a tournament is fun whether i win or lose at least it would be fun

An aspect of this contest will have to do with the site rules. So if you don't know them all that well you might want to brush up on them a bit. This aspect is one of the ways to make this fair even to level 1 players.

how are you going to invovle the rules of AO into the contest? you really wanted a contest that test people knowledge of the rules here don't you?

One of the aspects, like there will be places where you have to know the answers to progress to the next area. There really isn't a whole lot of ways to do a contest that isn't weighted heavily in advantage for higher level players without adding an element that is based completely on non-level/gear dependent factors. Such as the rules. Seeing as I did want a contest that in element tested general knowledge of the rules I figured this was one of the opportunities to include it while still introducing people to the RPG and how to play/etc without giving advantage to high level players at the same time. Of course the reward for winning will not only be a custom item in the RPG but also some sort of non-RPG based incentive as well, maybe a graphic, credits, etc. Something to that effect.

ok, true enough. well then i try my hardest to get the top prize, got to start studying those rules. and will the prize be awarded to the winner or is there a consolation prize?

Depending on how many people take part in the contest there will be different scenarios. If only a few people take part, there will be one winner. If a lot of people take part there will prolly be a second place, or even a third place. With only about 4 or 5 people interested from what I can see, it is looking like there will be one winner, since that is a relatively small contest.
