Violent by Design

I'm just wondering what everyone thinks our true nature is from the get-go. Are we more likely to embrace the negative aspects of the mind or do we mean better but just let the bad/violent/negative aspects prevail? Serious responses please.

Good question... I would guess we're born neutral. Pretty much in a natural, almost wolf-like state of mind. Just uncaring and ready to eat, that's how we start life and probably how we end life.

*I believe there are two true natures of man;

1. The "natural" man = might makes right, survival of the fitest.
2. The "spiritual" man = help your neigbor, love everyone.

and everyone can choose which to follow. An inner fight between two opposites. That is why disasters bring out both the best and worst in people depending on which people have chosen which side.

I think therefore I am? How about, I think therefore I can choose what I will be.

I think were all born innocent and basically good. Though we all have a dark side too. As we grow up some decide to indulge in that dark side be it because of mental illness, greed, jealousy, environmental factors, ect..

I think we don´t born with good/evil on our mind. We just learn about things and what´s is wrong and what's right, after that you you will start thinking about good/evil acts.

It´s just what happens on your life that makes you decide what "side" you will be, and since we are all different, we can have same aspects, same life, same education and different answers about it

I think the human body begins in its primortal mind. the mind that makes us want to sleep, eat, an strive to live. But the loving care of ur mother brings u outta this mind which allows u to speak and care for the happier things in life... like a pretty sunrise.
Yes humans are animals; but its our right to decided if we always want to be animals.
