Walled Emotion

I can feel you there
just on the other side
I've cried and cried
flooding my side with these tears
your an ocean distance away
though just on the other side
the other side of this emotional wall
each day we build it together
laying the bricks
creating our own death
with each brick I lay
my heart breaks in just one more place
you just stare back at me
filling in the space with another brick
you whisper to me each day
its ok, it'll only be awhile yet
it is for the best, not for us but for the rest
If others are above me
why are you so in love with me
helping me build this wall
this walled emotion
is sufficating me
the wall is sealed
I can't even hear you now
but I know your there
building another layer
