my cousin is also into Yaoi. My cousin told me that those fanfics are perverted. so I dont' read them. hehe^^; so I don't really know about Yaoi but I like Shonen-ai

The difference between Shounen-ai and Yaoi is rather simple.
Shounen-ai is mainly just the romance side of it, it doesn't really go past cuddling and kissing. Basically, it's all the cute and fluffy stuff.
Yaoi is full blown sexual content, usually with tiny elements of Shounen-ai put in place to give it story, and to give a point to the sex.

However, to throw another spanner in the works... both terms Shounen-ai and Yaoi don't mean the same as what they do in Japan.
Above I've explained what these terms mean in the west.
In fact Shounen-ai in Japan was a brief type of manga that is now terribly dated and not made anymore.
What we called Shounen-ai is now called Boy's Love (in English) in Japan.
In Japan Yaoi isn't just used to explain the more explict stuff, it's used to pretty much explain everything.

Shonen-ai is good but only in small doses, at least for me.

um...but minna-san, i thought shounen-ai is kindda 'guy-n-guy' isnt it not? or did my perception of shounen-ai is wrong...
