I believe it means to care what happens to that person, and wanting to keep them safe and to protect them when they need it most. It also means to like them for themselves--and not for some superficial reason. And in their absence, you might feel just a little less whole, reminding you how much you really do care about them and miss them when they're gone.
Alright, I'm done rambling now. As for your second question Kedar:
So, what do I do for the people that I care for? Well, when I feel that they are sad...or upset, I make sure I am there for them. And I try to be as truthful as I can with them--because they deserve that the most.

i can't explain it... only to show.....
i was feeling really sick....... fever, weakness... all that...
then my sweet love... he let me rest....
when i told him how i felt....
he made me take a shower to cool myself...
and while i did... he made me chicken noodle soup...
and got me orange juice.......
he even helped dry me off so i wouldn't get more sick......
and.... after that....
my body....
my heart....
my soul....
it felt.... better... healthy.... relieved....
....... cared for........ i think that's what it means....
