You also have to consider the really big embarrassing things though... they're not so easy to ignor.

I am still haunted by them when CERTAIN people bring them up...But I just laugh and make a joke out of it...Meanwhile my twitching of HAPINESS goes insane...

The only time I really get embarrased is when im reading something in front of the class.

Caring too much about what others think and forgetting that they too are just human and have flaws much like your own. Items we are self conscious about then to be the ones we are the most embraced about if we encounter a situation where possible that is perceived in a negative or maybe just a questionable light. Then our fears take over and we experience embarrassment, to me much like anger it is a silly emotion that all experience but there never is really a need for.

For me I think i'm over it, i mean after highschool I guess i'm just used to it!
And i think the theory " imagine everyone naked" makes things MUCH worse....

Not if you are in a room of super models

, actually 2 things will help in the aspect of speaking in front of people.

1) Realize that the more you know about the subject the less you will be nervous about speaking.

2) Even if you make a mistake, YOU will probably be the only one that notices! Seriously unless everyone in the room is an expert (highly unlikely) you are probably one of the few in the room that knows anything about it, so rather than admitting the mistake (unless it will result in disinformation, then you just need to restate what you said to reflect what really was meant) otherwise just keep going!

Yea, thats one of the things that I love about speeches.....

But forgetting what u have to say is a diff story altogether....and I agree, knowing more really helps. The more u know, the easier u can recover from making a mistake, the faster u can remember the next line, and the less risk of embarrassing urself.
