Thread: What PS2 RPG's Should I Get?

Rpg's for the ps2 well
1. xenosaga 1 & 2
2.kindom hearts
3,final fantasy x
4.and some other ones cant remember
but kindom hearts and final fantasy x are really good rpg's.

I am assuming that you don't have a ps1, right? Well, eventhough it's a ps1 game, you should definetly consider Lunar: Silver Star Story. Next to Final Fantasy, it's hands down one of the best RPGs out there. Yes, the graphics are dated, but the story is outstanding, and it features one of the best villans ever, Ghaleon. Think Seperoth, only with a sense of humor. I suggest this because all the other good RPG that are for PS2 have already been suggested, and there's nothing wrong with playing ps1 games, especially if they're as good as Lunar. There are actually 2 Lunars, the other is Eternal Blue, which is the sequel, but I liked SSS much better. Plus, EB doesn't make any sense if you don't play SSS.

Hmm... Right! If you're into Final Fantasy then get Final Fantasy X. It's pretty decent and the battle system is kind of nice. Get Kingdom Hearts, too. Don't let the Disney characters fool you. It's one nice game. Of course, get both episodes of Xenosaga. The battle system's not all that great (episode two's battle system is pretty interesting, though) but both the story and the music are great.

If you're into Action Role Playing Games, then I suggest trying out these titles:

Kingdom Hearts
Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance
Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance 2
X-men Legends
Dark Cloud 2
Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel
The Dot Hack Games (parts 1 through 4)
Champions of Norrath
Champions of Norrath 2: Return to Arms
And a few of the Gauntlet games are pretty good

If you like Traditional Role Playing Games and don't prefer Action Role Playing Games, then don't check these out.

If you're the Nostalgic type of person who's into Role Playing games, then check out the company known as "Nippon Ichi". They made Disgaea and La Pucelle:Tactics, both of which are budget cost($19.99) and still use sprite characters and animations, but they contain amazing storylines and gameplay.

I appreciate that some of you people are trying to help, but please only list RPG games. If you think it is an RPG you might want to check gamespot and see what the genre of your game is listed as. I, being an RPG fan, would hate to have someone suggest something to me saying that it was an RPG only to find out it wasn't. He asked for RPG games, please only suggest those games. Grand Theft Auto series is NOT an RPG. It is an Action game.

I think you should definetly get Kingdom Hearts, Disgaea Hour of Darkness, FFX has a pretty good story, and uhhh... well theres a ton of good rpgs for ps2 so just take a look online at a game review site
