there are like alot of sequels to the series i think

SEED is my favorite. love the characters and story, and the romantical crap.
Gundam wing is a close second.

I go with wing. seed is second but u just cant top wing.

From the mentioned ones I would go for Gundam 08th Team. It's recognized as having one of the most realistic presentations of war and it does also good on portraying the main character as something else than super humans. The ending is also quite shocking, at least episode 11 and does a good thing to show the aftermath in the 12th episode.

Aside from that, Mobile Suit Gundam (0079) for its originality and influence on the mecha genre, which formed it the way we know it. And Z/V Gundam for showing that war is more than just child's play.

Wing, while having two interesting main characters in Heero and Relena and several overall good OSTs + Intro/Outro songs, it does fail big time with its bishounen galore and the crappy animation. While I personally liked the series, its negative points are far too many looking back on it. On the other hand, while initially not impressing me that much, X does overall pretty good on all aspects and I consider it to be the best out of the AU Gundams.

SEED is a series which I would recommend to everybody new to Gundam/anime, because of its superiority regarding the technical stuff (animation, music etc.) and the first half which is nothing more than a bastardized version of the original Mobile Suit Gundam. It does have other strong points aside of that and Kira and Lacus actually made it into my respective top10 characters lists. But it does also fail on many accounts (and Destiny even more so), so in the end it's not something I would place highly in my own book.
