where do i download fonts and how to upload them

ok i had a site and when i downloaded the fonts for photoshop CS2 i dont know how to actaully upload them so can someone tell me and also how do i download i mean can someone give me some sites for downloadign fonts

Sites like Dafont.com tell you how to set up fonts for your system, or any other programs that use text.

step1 - dl the font
step2 - drag that font(from where you saved it, like 'my documents') to the FONTS FOLDER in your control panel(start then controlpanel)

and it should be set

er and what if i was to tell you that i dont know where the fonts folder is and i dotn know where to find it in photoshop could you tell me where i could get a hold of the folder i mean do i make one ?

i just told you.
go to start on your computer, you know that button between the 'ctrl' and alt'?,

go to your start menu, control panel, and there should be "fonts" in the there

That folder is not in Photoshop
or if you still can't find it start up a search on your computer for fonts

What you do is " Switch to Classic View " then the fonts file will show up then you just open the font file and drag the fonts over to the font file and it installs on your computer.

( But be warned if you put over 600 fonts in your font file your computer will get very slow. )

Thanks guys, I never would have thought of doing that. I just always opened c:/windows/fonts myself but the control panel method is just as good and less likley for a new fellow to mess his computer up.

ok before you put it in the font folder:
right click on the font you just download and go to "extract". then move the then move it to the folder

Extrct teh font from the rar file or it wont work,

Goto your start menu buttom, Click control panel, Click Apperances and themes if you are using the new xp look, if your using the 98/00 look then it should already be there, Click Fonts folder on the side.

You can drag and drop it in there but i perfer to clcik file, install font, goto the folder and select the font you want.
