Re: Who's your favourite rocker
alright. this list is hard for me since i have so many bands, but here it goes.
1. Slipknot - when u got 9 members that can perform a concert of pure insanity, how can u lose? especially when the music is the best in metal now. Before I Forget is such a good god damn song that it's even being played on the hip-hop stations. my sister knows the words for god's sake, and she's a rapper's groupie. one thing that troubles me, i listened to that song when no one knew what song it was. and its popularity just makes me sink.
2. Disturbed - David Draiman is a complete genius for combinding his non-aggressive vocals with aggressive metal. no complaints here, great ass metal. P.S. new Disturbed album due in September
3. Mudvayne - their first album is by far the best one, but the others are sweet as hell too. glad they made main stage at ozzfest this year. but it makes me think that if they made it, and Shadows Fall was on main stage<-(btw they suck), why was the most popular metal band, Slipknot, on the secondary stage?
4. System of a Down - what more to say? their first album isn't as good to me as the last 3, but it a few good songs. i'm more fond of the sound on Steal This Album!, though i bet many would disagree since all my friends say it's their worst album. Toxicity is the best hands down. lookin forward to Hypnotized when it comes out. but have to wait till fall for that one.
5. Lamb of God - i listened to them alot more before they became so damn popular, but they are still an awesome band. Randy Blythe has the best voice for metal i've ever heard.
6. Mushroomhead - how much they resemble Slipknot bugs me, but they still rock. it's a such a shame that J Mann had to leave. he was the voice of Mushroomhead. that new guy can't change it.
7. Stone Sour - now i know this band consists of 2 guys from Slipknot. those 2 being Corey Taylor(vocals) and James Root(guitar). in my opinion, i consider them underrated. i look at them like a Disturbed. non-aggressive Corey vocals with an aggressive sound. anyways, they kick ass and no one can tell me different.
8. The Agony Scene - this band is also underrated, by far. the only thing that gets them a downgrade is that they look like pansies. in one pic, one of the members was wearing the tightest pants imagineable, and just yuck. i wanted to ask him where his manhood went. but their music is ****in tighter than hell and the vocals rock too. if u're in to that new Metalcore stuff, this is the band for u.
9. Turmion Katilot - this is a Finnish metal band that is kinda similar to Rammstein. however, i consider them to be better since they have a better blend of sound and are in a way heavier. the only thing about this band, i wish u luck trying to find their music. the only way is through limewire or kazaa or whatever. only way. and let me tell ya, if u like long download times, u'll have a blast with this one.
10. Rammstein - what is a metal list with Rammstein? most popular foreign metal band ever, one of the best vocalists, what more could u want? they have a wicked sound, but to Turmion Katilot are 2nd place. they still kick ass, and why the hell they don't do a North American tour, i have no ****in idea.
here's my list. not the best, nor the worst i think but don't judge it.
Re: Who's your favourite rocker
There are just so many.
Adema (The Way You Like It) - Every song they make is great, which surprised me. Usually, there's one song from an artist you don't like, but not with Adema
Drowning Pool (Bodies) - Just an amazing band. They're a little different now, but their first album was astounding. Guitar: mind-blowing.
Kittie (Brackish) - Oh my goodness, just go and download the song I put there for an example. It'll leave you speechless or the only thing you'll be able to say is 'That was awesome!' Someone made an AMV with this song for FLCL. They went hand in hand. They are masters with their instruments.
Linkin Park (Breaking The Habit) - Another timeless band, every song is close to perfection, since nothing is in fact perfect .^_^. They are one of my favorite, but regardless, they are amazing to listen to.
There are a lot more, but these are the four best for me. (plus I don't think I could go on explaining why I thought each one was good)
Re: Who's your favourite rocker
1. Bjork (specifically for Human Behavior and Its Oh So Quiet)
2. The Mars Volta (abstract...yayness...)
3. Snow Patrol (only for the song Chocolate)

Re: Who's your favourite rocker
Depends on my mood, or what I feel like listening too
Right now its Staind and I'm listening to their new album (Album title: Chapter V) (Yes, I know it comes out on the 9th, and I already have a copy. And yes, I got it through illegal means, and yes, I have every intention of buying it the next time I'm in CDplus! because I support the musicians that I like.)
Re: Who's your favourite rocker
I love classics(Dream Theater, Van Halen, Foreigner, Journey, David Lee Roth, Styx, etc) and power/progressive metal(Stratovarius, Symphony X, Angra, Sonata Arctica, Rhapsody, etc.). I also can't forget my one passion in life: video game rock mixes. <3 to all the remixers that bring me that joy daily.
Re: Who's your favourite rocker
My #1 favorite band is Dir en Grey, but I also really like Malice Mizer and Gackt. I have to go with ketaro on number 2 of his list, which is Static-X. I love the feeling you get when you listen to them. Sevendust, Comeback Kid, Disturbed, and System of a Down are also on my list. I think all these bands are really great.
