Neat, though my windows is set to download things as they are out so it usually installs, tells me to reboot and voilà, everything up to date, unless these demand a manual install by any chance?

I suspect that the Auto Windows Update setting, after detecting a update, will add a random delay before downloading the fix, just to keep their servers from being swamped with Update requests......
I just upgraded to Linux! Problem solved!
Now I'll I have to do is figure out how to get Mandrivia to see my plextor DVD Writer, my D data drive, and get all my stuff working again!
I think I'm just trading one problem for another.
