World of Warcraft

It's my first MMORPG and it's really really really great. Don't know how it compares to FFXI but I've heard from my friends that WoW's better.

On the scale of 'Suck' to 'Awesome', IMO, World of Warcraft is somewhere around Pirates where FFXI is still stuck at Mega Suck.

Yea FFXI definately sucked. Even after playing it for a month straight it felt as if I hadn't accomplished a single thing at all. Not to mention that it was un-godly hard to find any good parties due to the fact that there were so many Japanese players.

World of Warcraft, on the other hand, is very well presentated. There are still a small amount of problems that Blizzard needs to take care of though (Some classes need to be nerfed others buffed, some server issues.) but it really doesn't take away from the overall experience. Unlike FFXI, after playing for even a hour, I still get some accomplished. I currently play as 2 characters:

Professions: Herbalism and Alchemy

Level: 16
Server: Silver Moon (Normal)
Race: Orc
Class: Warlock
Professions: Tailoring and Enchanting

As you can see, I enjoy playing on servers that start with "S" and end with "Moon". I'm also a strictly Horde player. I hate the Alliance.

Hmmm... World of Warcrack .... that's what I think. I haven't actually played a ton of it, but if I wanted to.... I would have to say so-long to my social life.
FFXI was fun, be I agree.... I was slaying away at nothing for some days.

WoW takes up damn near all my free time. So awesome.

Maybe someone can convince me to buy this game myself because I have a hard time actually getting into MMORPG's. What makes this better than Everquest 2, Star Wars Galaxies, City of Heores, or Guild Wars? And which one should I try out?

Compare price, universe, community, technical issues and make your choice.
According to many reviews, you can hardly go wrong with WoW though...
