write me a poem

a cool spring nights
the stretched clouds
float eerily slow
masking the moon's face
but not its glow

here i am
walking slow
strangers heads down
ignoring the crowds
i hear a sound
the cat meows
alone
awake

security of my hands
a light grin
above me chin

the surface is still
while the currents inside
collide
pulling my soul
with its undertow
leaving me to drown
inside

there is no life
guard
just the senses
and that those things
that they sense
hence
your misunderstanding
of what i just said

in this busy bright streets
only the brightest stars
shine
through
i look at their eyes
but i see right through

whispers
in my head
go with the flow

i struggle
for the surface
and i feel my hands again

i see those people
and grab my pen.
