    For you FireFox users

Im pretty sure most of you FireFox users are aware that Firefox is no where near IE standards but better. For those that don't know FireFox is capible of having addons installed to help your browsing. downloading and even Music needs I will be posting a few here...

Here I will start with the basics

BBCode addon This will add a BBCode/HTML/XML Formatting to the context (rightclick) Menu of your firefox. only downflaw of this that it dosen't work on Vbulletins.

Blog This For those of you that have a Blogger account. this addon it just for you. This addon allows you to select text you would like to add to a blog entry to your blog this addon is also added to the Context menu

Gmail Notifier For those on a Gmail account and would like to have up to the minuite updates on new e-mail sent to their Gmail account can have this addon and get alittle pop-up (similar to the download notifier) telling you got mail and also have a Gmail Icon in your Status bar of the browser.

Foxytunes For those that don't like to have bring up WMP or Winamp to change tracks on your player this is for you. you can run your Media player from the status bar of your firefox browser. It supports most of the popular players (WMP Winamp, Itunes Musicmatch) REally neat for the on thego browser users.

    Web Development

Here are some development tools for FireFox some that I have used and really come in handy

CSS Editor This will allow you to Edit your CSS on the fly (meaning when you change a veriable in your CSS it changes it on the page in real time) This is a good way to test to see if you like a scheme or not. it dosen't replace the current CSS but makes it easy to copy and paste it into your CSS stylesheet or admin CP of your site.

FireFTP. FireFTP is well an FTP Client for FireFox. This will open up a new tab in your firefox browser for FTP

you can find Many MANY more addons for firefox, Mozilla and Thunderbird here

    Horray! firefox addins!

yes these addins MAY slow down response of the browser but really 99.99% of the time that change isn't going to be detectable to the human at the controls. its really the same with any program that has addins, the more 'stuff" you have running at one time the longer it takes your system to respond to it. this meand that high end programs like autoCAD and Photoshop work MUCH slower on older computers but much lower "code intensive" programs like Firefox and IE (bleagh) wont have that big of a differance on the older machines versus the newer ones

    hope that helps!

BTW: I really like the CSS addin! I use them all the time for my websites to maintain a consistant look!

Not all extensions will slow down Firefox either. Tab Browser Extensions is probably one of the most notorious for doing this, but it's pretty powerful, so most people put up with it (that use it anyway...).

Personally, I use Adblock and BugMeNot. Since I'm not downloading ads or running stupid ad scripts, I save some time there. With BugMeNot, I can go to news sites that require registration without having to actually do so.
