First I would freak out, then worry and freak out some more. Once I collect myself, I would face the person and tell them I lost it or it got stolen. I think if you lie and replace it, they might notice, and get hurt.

i would be honest to him/her.. i will tell him/her.. and if he/she ask why.. i would say the whole story.. if that thing has a sentimental value... i would be sorry for that..

Ill replace it, dont wanna be in trouble

Well for my birthday my mom bought me this really cool silver necklace with my name on it and I lost it and she's been asking me about it but I don't want to tell her anything because she might feel bad...sooo....I'm planning to replace it in summer when I get a job....yea....that's worked before....

I will always tell the truth. If you lie once, you will have to lie even more to cover up your initial lie.
