Thread: Your FAVE AMV Song Congruency

there was a AMV i saw, though technically it wasn't an AMV since it used the movie Saving Private Ryan, that was made using the live version of Touch Like An Angel of Death by Children of Bodom. it worked so perfect. the opening to the video was great because it was a slower high pitched intro and it used the battle of D-Day. the rest of the song just went along with movie so much. at some parts i was so broken up i almost shed a tear. that is my all-time favorite congruency. though not to an AMV. just a music video.

On AMV, there is a video for RahXephon with the song 'Euphoria'. I don't remember who the artist was, but combined with the techniques used by the creator of the AMV, the video was a masterpiece. The song just touched upon the aspects of the clips being shown and you could get a feeling of what was going on even if you hadn't seen the series.

Well, that's my 'FAVE.'

An AMV can really draw me in if the sound effects visibly resound in the video itself.

E.g. Altruistic Crono's fantastic 'Never Turn Away' AMV. He managed to time the AMV's song with Cloud's Omnislash limit break.
That's definately a 'holy crap that's cool' moment.

I mostly just look for Final Fantasy amvs, and one of the more recent ones was for Advent Children with the song 'Sugar We're Going Down' by Fallout Boy. It worked with the video, because it was so fast paced and timed pretty well with the fighting scenes.

Another good one I saw was for Cowboy Bebop with the Korn song Word Up.
Styx's Renegade with Trigun is also very well-suited to the material in the video.
