Your favorite type of music? Why?

My favorite type of music is Heavy Metal because a lot of it says how I feel sometimes, and because it's just freakin' awesome! ^_^ What's yours?

rock. and. roll.

the greatest music of all time came out of the sixties and seventies. i.e. the doors, dylan, the allman brothers, the moody blues, led zeppelin, the beatles, the rolling stones, etc.

jim morrison and bob dylan are the two greatest lyricists ever.

I don't really have an all-time favorite music genre, I usually switch music depending on mood. And even then it's more band-focused than genre-focused. I do find myself listening to a lot of rock/metal, though. Mostly Rammstein, Symphony X, and Apocalyptica. Sometimes Lacuna Coil, but that's more goth than metal, I think...

There isn't a type of music I don't like some of up to and including Opera. I have lost my taste for Rap though. It always was a little shallow but the depths they have descended to in recent years is just annoying. It also plugs into my only peeve where music is concerned, people who think they can sing. Alot of artists these days have gorgouse voices, but they don't know how to annunciate! If it is impossible to understand the words you are not singing, you are harmonizing!

i was into heavy metal alot when i was younger, but as i got older i started getting into heavier stuff, like death metal, because i just really like aggressive and loud music...now i'm into drum n bass (that's what i produce) but still listen to metal sometimes

Heavy metal. (Death\Speed Metal more specifically) Normal metal tends to be kind of slow, feels better if the song is going at a fast pace.

It's still Trip-Hop for me, I just get such a feeling from it that nothing else can seem to touch....since i have an equal love for electronica & hip hop. What else could please me so?
