Your Scariest Film?

Everybody has their own opinon on what the scariest movie ever is. Whats yours? Mine would have to be "The Shining" for all around effect. The atmosphere is just horrific, the simple uses of color in certain scenes, designs....then theres the actual ghosts, blood and scares. Damn. How i miss REAL horror films....

I'd have to agree with u on The Shinning. The first time that I saw that it was pretty scary. Recently, however, I havent seen anything that could be counted as scary. I would like to see Saw.

Have to agree with you both on that one. THe Shining was a scary movie and so was The Exorcist.

The one that comes to mind would have to be Stephen King's IT ...when i saw this movie for the first time i couldn't go to sleep for about a week..i hate clowns, specially scary looking clowns.

i hate clowns, because of this movie i think!
of their ugly make up. i wonder why is there kids who like CLOWNS...
i agree with The Exorcist too. that ugly ghost.. ugh...

Definitely 'The Shining' .. and 'Saw' « it might not be scary to most of people but what creeped me the most was the killer's voice and the clown puppet..That night, I checked the closet before I went to bed.. >.<

I watched that when I was 13 at a friends slumber party.

Scary scary clowns.

OMFG! IT traumatized me i swearv

! once i saw that movie i could never look at a clown the same way again, every single one was scary as hell.

oh, and another movie that really scared me .. and kind of instilled a fear of spiders in me: Arachnophobia

The movie I call scary would be 28 Days Later. I was pretty traumitized by world events when I saw it, and saw it in a small theater with only four other people, we were all strangers who came by ourselves in the early evening in the middle of the week. it had a very psychological affect on me because of that.

Plus athletic zombies are friggin scary.

Damn straight. 28 Days Later was one of the best movies I've ever seen. I am all for The Shining also. Hmmmm, I remember Hellraiser when I was about 8, and I couldn't watch it ~ then I finally finshed it like a month ago, and though it was scary. Please someone, tell me where all the scary movies went ? I watched Saw twice, and though that f*ckin' puppet was was the creepiest thing I've ever seen. NOT COOL. Bad acting, great plot on that one.
