Anime Videos

I have setup in the right column on our home page 2 anime videos. I will now allow winners of contests etc to choose an anime video to place on the front page for all to see.

AMV's cool....but I want to ask if they have to be from YouTube? The quality is rather sucky but more importantly there are thousands of top notch AMV's not hosted on YouTube...

If you can supply the embed code, then it can come from other sources too.

keneva is a good source for AMV's i have sevral there
and the image from the video's are excellent

Yep! I agree with Ky-Lyrra! Awesome job with all of these additions to the site. It really is paying off, I think. AMV's. Another awesome add to AO.

you also might want to consider that Youtube has in the past (Its happened to me with one of my Gundam Wing vids) deleted AMV's for copyright infringement on the recommendation from the copyright holders.

I don't recommend having crappy youtube AMVs on the site. They usually don't do the original justice.

The only AMV's I consider high quality come from www.animemusicvideos.org, though you have to subscribe (freely) and you need to download them to watch them......

For example, here is a link to youtube to a neat video clip (1/3 of it actually since it's very long):

You can find this video clip in much higher quality on www.animemusicvideos.org if you look around a bit
