Arcade Score Clear

Trunks has cleared the arcade scores to save database space. I know alot of you are upset about this I knoe Hasun will be XD but its something that needs to be done every now and then.

Shouldn't need to be done any more since i've switched on the only keep highest score option, so nobody will have like 200+ scores in the same game. I'm also losing over 130 high scores in this as well that took over 6 months to get so it effects me as well.

I'm not sure how you guys clear the scores (if it takes up a lot of time, or if you just click "delete" or something) but I think it would be good to have regular score clearing (monthly, or every couple months, or...whatever). That way there's still a bit of a competition going rather than looking at the score and seeing "So and So" still has an insanely high score, thus losing interest in playing. At least when the score is cleared it gives others a chance to try and get on the board, and still allows the current winner to try and reclaim the spot.

That's my little input hehe....

Clearing top scores takes less than a minute. Very simple task! However, I think some top scorers would get disappointed when this happens when they lose their positions from the ladder.

So, before removing Top Scores, I think we need to notify members and award the Top Scorer from each game some points or something with vbPlaza. We should be remembering the efforts of these Top Scorers. Similar to your local club where the Top Sportsman are listed each year at the club on the wall.

Well i'll also be running contests as well for high score or closest to high score similar to the one I did with breakout.

In addition i'll be doing a special "beat the admin" contest every so often and will play with the members as it goes on to see who can beat me in a certain game or if they cant whoever comes closest wins 1st, second, and third respectively.

Ah, so my 41 times in Simon has been forever lost...?

Oh well ^^ Gives me more incentive to go play the game again and try for another high score =) I know it's a little more disappointing for some, so perhaps Dragon Ball's idea should come into play if there's ever a next time

I think this is a great idea. Only fair to award points / prizes to Top Scorers before deleting Top Scores.

Well I agree in that we should award the prize to people who had the most high scores, which i've already awarded a few people I remember off the top of my head as being high scorer in more than 50 different games. As for each person theres over 500 games it'd be kinda hard to award 500 people for high score in a perticular game so it'd have to be by those who have like an exceptional amount of high scores, like 50+ etc.
