Someone is abusing your email list again, this time to push web cam girls. I just recieved the email today. So either you have a hole in your security or an inside person has leaked your members list.

This announcment is to inform the community to be careful with emails coming from AnimeOnline.net
Only Emails coming from support[AT]animeonline.net are valid emails.
If you feel that a particular email is fraudulent, check to see the senders address, and then inform a staff member as soon as it is possible.
An example of an email from the forum looks like this:
from Anime Online <support[AT]animeonline.net>
to [Your Email]
date [Date]
subject New Private Message at Anime Online
DO NOT REPLY TO THIS EMAIL!

Dear [your username],
You have received a new private message at Anime Online from [Senders username], entitled "[PM Subject]".
To read the original version, respond to, or delete this message, you must log in here:

This is the message that was sent:

Neither of those.
Email used a spoofed header, no security breach at all.

The Email list was compromised during this incident...

The security issue has now been corrected by the Administrators, but there is nothing that can prevent Spammers from using the compromised list...
Aww... I didn't get the e-mails, I guess maybe its because I changed my e-mail address recently.

I haven't received any of those emails, perhaps going through the compromise list of members and letting them know so they can change their email addresses would be a nice counter measure those malicious emails.
That would mean everyone who was signed up at the time the email list was comprimised.
Its easier to let everyone know about which emails coming from Anime Online are real, and how to spot fake ones.
