In an effort to minimise low quality posts, effective immediately, FAVOURITE THREADS can only be created by Community Members and above (Achieved after 30 days AND 250 posts).

Do not ask the following UNLESS you are a Community Member or higher:

• Who do you like better?
• Who would win?
• Who's your fav...?
• or similar...

I have seen an increase in these type of threads by new members, and this is bringing down the quality of discussion.

Hopefully by the time you have reached a Community Member, you will know what is required of you with regards to responsible posting.

NOW when you do reach Community Member status, please try to continue to give your posts depth and quality otherwise an infraction will be given for low quality posting.

Point 13 has been updated at Anime Online - FAQ: GENERAL RULES to reflect this rule change.

Means don't create threads that are along these lines. Obviously I cannot list every single version of such a question, so use your commonsense as to what would be acceptable or not.

The mind of people is abstract and many times they are not able to verbalise things so precisely. So expecting everyone to make quality post and putting harsh measures as infraction would be an overkill, in my opinion. A request or suggestion might me fine...but then the forum staff here knows best considering this forum.

No need to worry... staff are not going to be harsh. A warning will typically be given first, but if members become repeat offenders, then an infraction is given.

Ok, i'm totally agree with you. A lot of new threads are appeared and always be the same thing and are closed to soon. Hope this new rule make new high quality discussion threads.

I haven't seen your other 4 posts, Aby, but from this one I can tell you that you should be fine. As a matter of fact the difference between normal post and low quality posts is very easy to tell. There are posts like yours for example, and then there are "hehehe, I agree DB, lol" ones. Just keep in mind that short posts doesn't necessarily mean low quality, nor does a long one mean a quality one...it is about what you have to add to the topic of discussion.

I wasn't talking about myself I can put myself quite precisely if required. I was talking about members who cannot precisely verbalise what they want to say in that case their posts will be a bit vague.

Exactly. However I think being too strict on quality posts will be kind of off mark, considering definition of quality varies. For example things which qualify in one community may not do so in others, in my forums I am pretty lax unless the situation gets out of hand - thats what moderators are for. I mean if members were all that upto the point, a forum could have done with only the administrator.
