Thats alot i wonder why people make a account then leave it i think that is just stupid make one dont use it and its stupid i have no time liers you just make no time.

Maybe they've found this page and it was pretty cool, then made an account, then next day they can't remember how they found it... That could be one reason

Maybe they were just doing it cause the could... or it was a whim or something.

Either way, they're gone now. Many names are open now too, like said earlier, so I guess it's a good thing.

How long did it take to amass that many people?

The board came "back" up from the last crash in late October 2004 (like the 29th) so a few years. I think that is enough comments on old news so I am closing.
