Special Characters in your Username If members have special characters in their username, they must first access their profile and update their name before you will be able to view it in the zoints system.
Eg: "Fred (^_^)" would contain special characters. If you cannot view your zoints profile, then be sure to change this by yourself.
If a member tries to access their profile, the system tells them that the special character will not work and gives them the ability to change their profile name. So "Fred (^_^)" might change his profile name to Fred234. This is because special characters cannot display in urls.

I always found it annoying that people put those characters in their names in the first place.
