I never was a fan of Mecha, so having a whole forum for just Transformers is, I thought, a bit too much, but I liked the idea all the same, on having a discussion area for Transformers.

Now that makes sense too. The transformers forum has more content in it than some of the anime sub-forums. Transformers are a type of anime right?

Si, in fact most of the Transformer series out there are anime techinically. There have been only 3 US series (and two major collabaration series though one of them didn't work out to well.)

yeah but still in my opinion not totally anime, as the have had american collaborations. An the ideal of basing a entire series on 1 forum an not subforum kinda takes away from the site, seeing its not originally made for 1 -2 specific anime; thats the reason its called animeonline and not certainanimeonline.

It's not that it's not famous... there are thousands or even millions of fans...

But will you find any here? Maybe a few... most of the fans don't go to message boards or even watch any new anime for that matter. They're a form of old-school on their own terms.

I don't think it's overkill to have forum for them, I think it's overkill that it's in AO. Sorry, none of the new otakus would even acknowledge Transformers as an ongoing thing.

*blinks* Fella, actually there is a HUGE online TF community, in fact one of them advertises on this very site. (If you look at the main page.)

Beyond that there are also new TF fans all the time and a large continuicy in the same main area that Video games and quite a few animes are marketed to these days (the 20-30 range.)

So yes, we might find a good ammount on this site and several others who want to know more about it. And you do know that the last TF ANIME just ended about 6 months ago right? So it'd be hard to call it not ongoing.
