User Promotion System - Page 3

I think I like the new idea. I've been a member of AO since mid-05 but back then I was wrapped up in other issues and didn't post or try to be part of the community. I see this as a way for people to work toward something but also get to know the site and people in the same manner. Since I started posting I have definitly been able to form opinions about other posters, gotten more familiar with the site and become aware of how certain things affect it. In reality the rank isn't gonna be a deciding factor for me at least because I'm in the Army and have to deal with rank all damn day but as I said earlier at least it gives someone who posts a bit more and has been here a bit (or perhaps a lot) longer the knowledge that they are noticed.

Does this apply to the members that are already registered? Or only to the new ones that are joining?

Everyone from now on. Meaning I have to wait 5 months to be vet, which I don't mind of course. It is better this way.

Members should not be making new accounts. If they do, then it is their loss if they have to start all over again.

Headache. Princesslady, you should read the previous posts. This new system only applies to the members that signed up after today. So you won't lose your PRECIOUS veteran title.
