User Titles vs User Rank Images

There has been some confusion with user titles and user rank images. Members have seen the user rank image of "Com. Member" whilst their titles says "Elite Member".

Your rank image is independent of your user title display. Your rank image is calculated on posts AND time at the forums. Your user title text can only be calculated on posts. Elite members and above can choose their own user title. No usergroup can choose their own user rank image.

The real indication of what usergroup you are in is displayed by your rank image. The user titles are confusing everyone, so we should use new user titles that don't reflect what usergroup you are in.

Suggestions for new user titles? Please place them in this thread. I will replace the below if I see cooler user title suggestions.

I have now set the default user titles as below:

User Titles Based on Minimum Posts
1 - Newbie
100 - Diamond in the Rough
500 - Upcoming Legend
1000 - Shining Star

Remember, as an Elite Member or above, you can choose your own user title.

So that's what's going on. I had no idea... lol it seems so obvious now!

It's a good idea to change those titles, they're really, really confusing...

No ideas from me yet though... Yours are cool enough...

This is a very good idea I like it. Well thanks guys for getting confused so now DB has made it even better. Thanks I like the new titles DB.

Sounds nice, I still wish we could make our own lol the plazza cut me off and I could never do it, but now I can yay! Only from 1 thou :P

well if 500 posts is upcoming legend then shouldn't 1000 be legendary or something like that instead of shining star? just seems to flow better I think.

I recommend these user titles:
1 - Layman
100 - Plebeian
500 - Civilian
1000 - Model Citizen

We have to make AO appear very intelligent.

Hmm. You are correct. AO would appear muy intelligente from those titles.
