Username changes and why they aren't allowed

I have had a few people ask me about name changes and got a few forwareded PMs about this issue. I will tell you this you change your name you will be confusing a lot of people. Also if you have a lot of stuff uploaded to the gallery the stuff you have uploaded to the gallery, your journal if you have one and your arcade scores if you have any will be messed up. That is why this is a bad thing. Im not going to go through and edit everyones scores names in the gallery nor Journals so you will ether 1 have to live with the name you have now or create a new account and cancel out the old account

So ur saying that if u change ur username all ur old post in arcade and journal will deleted cuz ull be like making a new account?

I think that's what he meant. (I could barely understand what you just wrote. XD)
Basically, it's like you're resetting all your points.

In short, everything you do is indexed in the data base to your user name... Changing your name in the Forum is like trying to change your SSN Number. To do it messes up the DB BADLY.. So the ONLY way to change your user name is to start a BRAND NEW ACCOUNT with your NEW USERNAME.... <takes a deep breath... feels better now, grumble grumble grumble>

ya, my friend, Fire chic when u go to member list and search her name it says Fire chicken, which is not her, and she is not on there....

This nas nothing to do with the memberlist. your firend needs to register a new account with fire Chick if she wishes to have a valid account on the board.

Thats why when you register you should think long and hard about your username. Is it something you'll be happy with for a long time.
