Zoints now at AO - what is it? Your NEW Profile Page

Hello All,

Today Zoints was installed at AO to offer members a more comprehensive and exciting profile page.

Whenever you click on a members profile link, you will be taken to their very own custom home page. From there, members can add blogs, friends and so on. All existing journals have been imported into the new blog system, so don't worry, they haven't been lost.

So what does Zoints do?

• Provide members with a personalised homepage
• Blogs (your old Journals have been imported here)
• Networking (not only at AO but also other forums that use the same Zoints system)
• Photos
• Custom pages (eg: My Car)

In a nutshell, it's your very own page to customise as you wish. You can even have your own colours, background images and so on. Also move your blocks around to other positions by clicking on the block title and dragging! :2thumbs:

Sinstra will be tidying up a few things on the layout such as the ugly buttons at the top over the next few days.

Enjoy, and hopefully this opens a whole new world for members! We are the first to install this system for Anime lovers, and the first site to import the old vbJournal's into Zoints.

<<Sinistra Edit>> I have added in a last-fm block for the profile. For those that use Last-FM all you have to do is goto editor mode and click the wrench for the settings and put your username what set of songs you want shown then your style.

Itis a very impressive system I am liking it already for those Diehard animeonline fans might get use to it faster. seeing as this was how the old profile system was laid out when Ewdi and Gig had control of the site.

Fun to try out, but I gotta say had to pull a lot of hair out to semi-understand how to work it the way I wanted it to be.

EDIT: My only complaint is the fact that the way you see your own profile is not the same as how other members would see it.

Does this interfere with the Avatar system or is it that I have not done enough/been here long enough to have an avatar?

Not at all. No relation to the avatar system.

It sounds kool that we have a myspace-style profile now.
