I just saw a topic a while ago
it got me wondering how long
does it take before you trust someone?
because trust isn't just given it's earned.

More than a lifetime, I'll tell ya that much... Can u honestly say u would trust anyone with 100 certainty. Its impossible.

This all depends on the person. If they are all about first impressions then they could trust you right then in thr if your fist impression was to thr standerds.But if the person is one of those people who needs to know you for some time then to earn trust could take a while.
To tell you the truth i give it and you eather get more or you lose it. and if you lose it it could take you the rest of your life to get it back.
It takes awhile for myself. I mean I will always be friendly and help out in times of need. But rarely do I need help for anything unless it's something simple. However, when I am in need of help I go to people I trust. And trust isn't either 100% or 0%. It depends on who it is and varies accordingly. And it is possible to trust someone completely. In my case, my sister has my complete trust. We've been through some really dark times together and there will probably be no other until I find that special person.
