I'm a non-conformist, and depending on whether the people around me are optimists or pessimists, I switch between the two to balance things out. So when everyone's optimistic, I'm pessimistic. When everyone's pessimistic, I'm optimistic. I used to think I was a pessimist (cuz being dark and moody sounded cool) when I was a preteen but I checked myself during all those optimistic times and thought, "Well, maybe I'm not that pessimistic after all!"
