weapons preferance

say you were living in ancient japan what type of weapon and weapon style would you most likely use in battle?

mine would be a twin dagger under handed style w/ footlong blades of black steel

PS no magical weapons please (tetsuiga etc...)

Ordinary daisho (katana+dagger) or another option would be two-bladed sword
or dual-rapiers.

For me, a regular Japanese Katana will do just fine. ^_^ A hard-metal staff would also be amusing to have.

Awwww, that takes all the fun out of it, lol. Ok, guess I'll go with a pair of Katanas, long and short, but these would just be for show. My true weapon would be a sling shot with exploding pellets.

Short katana=wakizashi as far as i'm aware of. Well atleast when ya choosing
it as second weapon.

I'd have to go with a simple, functional quarterstaff. About 6 ft. high, and made of polished oak or hickory (for durability). That way, I would have a weapon on hand almost wherever I went. If I forgot my normal quarterstaff at home, and I need one NOW, then I just use the broom handle in the corner of the room, you know?

I would perfer duel daggers. And as a back-up weapon...a katana.
