Squareing it
What is it called in math when you take a number, multiply it by itself, take the answer, multiply it by itself, take that answer, multiply it by itself and so on? It's a bit different than exponential interest, but I don't know what it's called.
like 10x10=100x100=10000x10000=100000000x blah and so on and so on.
As opposed to
10x10=100x10=1000x10=10000x10= blah and so on.

number multiplied together producing given number.. number or quantity that when multiplied by itself gives a particular number or quantity. For example, 4 or -4 is the square root of 16.
4x4=16
(the way my teacher taught me: what whole # goes into 16?)

I know what squaring a number is. But that's not what I'm talking about, I already said that that's not what I'm talking about.
What I'm tlking about extends beyond just one small two number equation.
Squaring (what I'm NOT talking about)= a number to the power of 2, I.E. 10^2 or 10X10.
You see, I know all that. No one needs to tell me again.
Something else (to a degree, similar to, but NOT squaring)=a number times a number, then the answer times itself, then that answer times itself, a specified number of times, I.E. 10x10=100x100=10000x10000=100000000x istelf = blah and so on.
