He gives me a flower
A promise of return
The flower starts to open
It's petals slowly turn to the sun
They bend back like dancers,
Opening as if trying to hug the whole sky
Then slowly fall
one
by

The flower cries it's tears littering by bed
He gave me a flower
A promise unkept.
This one sounds more like a saying
For love unsaid for love untold
The heart grows hard the heart grows cold
For love untold for love unsaid
The heart shriveled the heart turns dead.

Thank you. I have a poem about a leaf and now a flower. maybe i should just go outside and see waht else i can make a poem on.
I use to write poems on things I saw at night. ^_^
I like the symbolism you used with the flower to a promise. I myself am not good at using one thing to symbolize another.so I give you a thumbs up! Keep up the good work. I look forward to reading more. ^_^
