Thread: Apart We Stand Together

Standing alone up here I shiver in the night air.
It has become cold because you are not right there.
Separation gets harder and harder to bear.

Each time you shed a tear my heart feels pain.
If you need me though I be not near there is one place I can be found.
No matter where, you can see me for in each other’s hearts we are bound.
Days apart, waiting drives us both insane.

I tell the truth when I say we are nothing without each other.
Just as I am like earth and you sky, we need one another.

We can meet for now only in our wish-filled dreams.
And each day that keeps passing the sun sets so slow.
Time will never come to bring sleep or so it seems.
It is illusion, but it does not help to know.
