Shade/K' Heart

This poem is based on what happened to me and my friend Shane, for whom I'd give everything in the world up, just to see have a normal life. I dedicate this to him, though he dedicates his life to me in what I did for him.


My tears couldn't come fast enough,
as I saw your body quake and shutter.

"The hell...?"
was the only thought I could muster.

I ran to your bedside,
as i had slept in the floor,
and began to shake you.

you began to cough and choke,
gargle and shutter violently.

When shaking couldn't stir you,
i bolted to your mother's room,
so that they could know,
that you were in the middle,
of a massive seizure.

We dressed you,
got you in the truck,
and they rushed you to the hospital.

Yeah...
I only rose them...
and I only was scared out of my mind...
but dude I care too much about you,
to watch you die.

You deserve more than,
I could ever give you,
even if I owned it all.

Tears shed now,
as you sleep in your bed next to me,
as you alow me use of this computer tonight.

The last moments seeing you alive,
could have brought me nightmares,
beyond an horror written before.

I did nothing...
I only defended you,
like a true friend would.

Know that always....

On closing, I'd like to say this. All those that read this, know who your friends are. A true friend would die for you, if they so had to. I have at least two that would take a bullet for me, though I have 9 or 10 that I'd take a bullet more myself. In the past month and a half... I've acted twice. The first time was because it was a lady, and I can't stand a lady crying... another... was this. I pray I never see that again... but I pray that if i have to, I'm there to keep him alive, or aid in it. I know my friends will not read this... but I love you all in the highest manner of love that a man could give. Those that wish to befriend me, befriends an ally and a guardian too. Know that.
