Black Dog

Walking home one night
I saw an awful shadow
Walking home one night
I stopped and stared in fright.

There on the corner
a dog with a grin
there on the cormer
A dog come for my sin.

I knew who it was
nothing less than grimm
I knew what it wanted
For me to know what it did.

It fadded in the light
and later on that night
I looked out the window
And I saw that awful shadow.

It had a torn old ear
and a croked left eye
I battle scare remained
And i wondered why?

Why whould he come for me?
In the prime of life?
Why would he ask for me
To give him my unworthy life?

I walked out the door
and rite up to him
I looked at that awful grin
and I just had to asked him:

What do you come for?
What do you want?
I plead to you
Not to take this life!

He lost that awful grin
He turned to me and sayed:

It is time to return to the one within
It is time to come back to the one with no sin
don't make me cry
I ask of you.
Why can't I die?
I envy you
the one who must come
I want to be the one with the sad end.

With that he howled and others joined in
With that he howled and I felt peace within.

The soul was free
The anguish releaved
I feld myself drift away
to a land that I would not leave.

He walk beside me
I walked beside him
We walked together
and I felt for him.

Unable to die
unable to live.

I realize how he wanted
to feel this peace within.

We reached the end
To another beggining
We walked to the end
To start a new life worth living.

Godbye to you.
the one I must say sorry to
I might have given you a chance
but you had to start anew.

i liked this poem and how you descibed the
black talk at frist made me think you were going
to die then you twisted it and became one with him
on in the same if i undeerstod it right over all this pome
is very cool your pretty good at this cant wait to read another

I like how you had the reader thinking the dog was coming to attack you and as i read on i saw how you and the dog shair and exchange each others pain and walk to the land were both of you felt peace. The poem was a little relaxing to read. Hope to read the next one i enjoy reading your poems you should publish them when you have enough pages to make a big book id buy it
